Historic US Army National Guard Facility Completes $129M Renovation

Revitalized infrastructure and utilities in the historic 190,000sf Jamaica Armory will serve 600 soldiers of the New York Army National Guard.

The New York State Office of General Services and the Division of Military Affairs announced the completion of the $129 million renovation of the historic Jamaica Armory in Queens. The project, which began in 2019, took six years from design to construction. It transformed the armory’s 190,000 sf interior into a modern, secure space to meet the needs of today’s New York Army National Guard.
