Get Set UK Joins Palladium, Strengthening People‑Centered Employment Support Across the UK

London, UK: Get Set UK is joining Palladium, bringing together two organizations with a shared purpose: strengthening pathways into work, skills, and opportunity by putting people first.

At a time when 1 in 8 young people aged 16–24 in the UK—nearly 1 million individuals—are not in education, employment or training, and increasing numbers are becoming permanently detached from the labor market, the need for intervention is acute.

Since 2009, Get Set has delivered a wide range of government‑funded programs and community‑based services, supporting people across the UK to build confidence, develop skills, and move into long‑term employment. Its work is grounded in deep local relationships with employers and partners, and a people-focused approach that recognizes individual journeys rather than one‑size‑fits‑all solutions.

According to Get Set CEO Thomas Harley, this merger responds directly to today’s labor market realities while keeping people firmly at the center of service delivery. “This integration is grounded in a shared mission and belief in supporting people as individuals,” he explains. “By strengthening our combined capability, we can offer more joined-up support and create better, more sustainable outcomes for people, communities, and clients.”

UK Restart Scheme

Both organizations currently implement the UK Government’s Restart Scheme, supporting people who have been out of work for extended periods. Palladium has delivered Restart across the South Central area of England, while Get Set has implemented the program across Greater London, the South East, and the North West.

Together, the teams create a stronger, more consistent employment services offering, able to reach more people across regions while remaining responsive to local needs.

Navigating a Challenging Labor Market

This integration comes at a time of significant economic pressure and change across the country. Employers are navigating a challenging labor market shaped by slow growth, rising costs, skills shortages, and an increasingly diverse workforce. At the same time, more people are facing overlapping barriers to work, including health challenges, caring responsibilities, and disrupted career pathways. Demand continues to grow for services that bring together employment, skills, health, and wellbeing, rather than addressing each in isolation.

“At GISI Consulting Group, our focus is on simplifying the most complex challenges that face countries and societies,” says GISI Consulting Group CEO Derek Amidon. “That means combining the strength of our global experience with trusted local leadership and sustained investment. Get Set joining Palladium is an excellent example of this approach in action—scaling what works locally while strengthening outcomes nationally.” Palladium CEO Sinéad Magill agrees. “Employability underpins almost every major economic, social, and geopolitical challenge governments and companies are trying to solve,” she says. “Together, our teams are better positioned to support individuals, employers, and governments through a period of real economic change.”
