GISI Consulting Group company GEI Consultants has merged with Hayre McElroy & Associates, LLC (HMA), an 80-person engineering and construction services firm headquartered in Redmond, Washington.
HMA provides special inspection and testing, geotechnical engineering, quality program management, engineering, and environmental services to federal, state, municipal, and private sector clients across the Pacific Northwest and Hawaii. The firm is recognized for supporting complex infrastructure and transportation programs and for its longstanding client relationships throughout the region.
The merger strengthens GEI’s presence in the Western United States and Hawaii while expanding the firm’s capabilities in construction services and large-scale infrastructure support. HMA’s expertise in managing technically complex projects complements GEI’s existing core markets across water resources, transportation, energy, environmental, and civil infrastructure.
“HMA’s expertise and capacity to support major infrastructure programs aligns exceptionally well with GEI’s strategic direction,” said Scott Wallington, Chief Executive Officer of GEI. “Their reputation for technical excellence and successful project delivery will enhance our ability to serve clients across the West Region and Hawaii. Just as importantly, HMA shares our collaborative culture and commitment to delivering practical solutions to complex challenges.”
For decades, HMA has supported critical public and private infrastructure projects throughout the Pacific Northwest and Hawaii, building a reputation for trusted partnerships, local expertise, and integrated project delivery.
“Joining GEI creates tremendous opportunities for our employees and clients,” said HMA Principal Jim McElroy. “GEI’s national platform, multidisciplinary expertise, and strong employee-focused culture make them an ideal partner for HMA. Together, we will be able to bring expanded technical resources, broader geographic reach, and deeper capabilities to our clients while continuing to provide the responsive service and trusted relationships that define our firm.”
The addition of HMA continues GEI’s strategic growth across North America and further enhances the firm’s ability to support clients through the full lifecycle of infrastructure planning, design, environmental permitting, construction, and asset management.
