GISI Consulting Group Welcomes PERC Engineering, Expanding Energy Infrastructure Capabilities

GEI Consultants has welcomed PERC Engineering, a Texas-based engineering and project management firm serving the energy industry.

Headquartered in Houston, PERC brings nearly 200 professionals and proven expertise in energy production across all stages of the energy lifecycle. PERC adds capabilities in electrical engineering, automation/instrumentation, civil/structural, process, inspection, and geospatial services to the Group.

The acquisition is the seventh merger-partner to join GISI Consulting Group since December 2025, including BSD Building System & Diagnostics (Singapore), LYL Consultants (Singapore), Get Set UK (United Kingdom), Terrane Geoscience (Canada), and Buckham & Duffy (Australia). Together, these firms have significantly expanded a global infrastructure delivery platform spanning North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.

“The energy sector is undergoing one of the most consequential transformations in a generation, from grid modernization to the extraordinary power demands of AI infrastructure,” says Derek Amidon, CEO of GISI Consulting Group. “PERC has positioned itself at the center of that shift, and joining our Earth, Water & Energy segment alongside GEI gives them the multidisciplinary depth and global reach to go after opportunities that weren’t accessible before. This is exactly the kind of addition we’re seeking to add to GISI Consulting Group.”

GEI brings more than 40 years of experience serving the power and energy industry, serving as a trusted advisor to over 250 utility and energy companies across more than 45 states. The acquisition of PERC deepens that platform significantly.

Founded in 2013, PERC serves clients across the energy sector, including some of the most prominent names in the energy industry. The firm’s six core service lines (automation, electrical engineering, facilities, inspection, pipeline, and geospatial/survey) are delivered by specialized teams across offices in Houston, Fort Worth, Midland, Mont Belvieu, and Lafayette, Louisiana.

“PERC brings a highly specialized team with deep technical expertise and longstanding client relationships throughout the energy sector,” explains Scott Wallington, Head of Earth, Water, and Energy at GISI Consulting Group and Chief Executive Officer of GEI Consultants. “Their capabilities in pipeline engineering, electrical systems, automation, and field services strongly complement GEI’s existing infrastructure and environmental platform. This partnership significantly advances our ability to serve the evolving needs of energy clients and positions GEI and GISI Consulting Group for continued growth across one of the most dynamic sectors in infrastructure today.”

The acquisition reflects GISI Consulting Group’s sustained momentum as a rapidly growing global infrastructure platform since formally launching in 2024. With more than 10,000 employees, over $2.5 billion in revenue, and a portfolio spanning infrastructure, earth and environment, and government and society sectors, GISI Consulting Group is building the next generation of consulting—combining the scale of a major firm with the specialist depth and delivery agility of its operating companies.

“Joining GISI Consulting Group is an exciting next chapter for PERC,” says Felipe Gonzalez, President of PERC Engineering. “We were looking for a partner that shared our entrepreneurial mindset, commitment to client service, and long-term vision for growth in the energy sector. The Group provides the scale, technical depth, and collaborative culture that will allow us to expand opportunities for our employees while continuing to deliver the high level of service our clients expect. Together, we will be able to pursue larger opportunities, broaden our capabilities, and create even greater value for our clients.”

Together, GEI and PERC will provide integrated engineering, environmental, geotechnical, water resources, permitting, and construction support services to energy clients across North America—covering the full project lifecycle from planning and permitting through construction, commissioning, and long-term asset management. This new capability positions the combined GEI-PERC platform at the intersection of two of infrastructure’s most consequential growth sectors: energy delivery and digital infrastructure.
