Hill International has been selected as part of a joint venture to serve as construction manager for the Terminal 2 expansion at Václav Havel Airport Prague in the Czech Republic. The project comprises terminal expansion, the construction of a new pier, renovations, installation of new systems, and more.
Representing Prague Airport, Hill will supervise construction activities through completion and handover to confirm the compliance with the owner’s expectations, all contract documents, and airport construction best practices. This will help reduce cost, schedule, and quality risk during construction and ensure that the expanded terminal functions safely and efficiently, as planned.
“This expansion is important for the Czech Republic and for Europe as a whole,” explains Hill Vice President & Aviation Sector Lead Europe Tamara Fleuti. “It also constitutes a milestone for the regional aviation industry, requiring a remarkably high level of integration across airside and landside functions, new and existing structures, and multiple operating systems. We look forward to applying our expertise to help ensure seamless integration, manage risk, maintain uninterrupted passenger flows, and deliver this transformation safely and successfully.”
GISI Consulting Group CEO Derek Amidon sees this important work as key to the connectivity of the region and sustainable growth for generations to come.
“Airports are more than transit hubs,” he says. “They are gateways to opportunity, commerce, and cultural exchange. The expansion of Terminal 2 reflects the region’s commitment to meeting the demands of a rapidly evolving global economy while enhancing passenger experience and operational efficiency.”
