GISI Consulting Group Joins Environment Analyst

GISI Consulting Group has joined Environment Analyst, the international membership community and intelligence hub for the environmental and sustainability consulting sector.

The membership connects GISI Consulting Group with a global community of leading environmental and sustainability consultancies, providing access to independent market intelligence, industry benchmarking and opportunities to exchange ideas with peers and clients on the issues shaping the sector.

For GISI Consulting Group, the move reflects the growing role environmental and sustainability expertise plays across its portfolio of consulting businesses, and the increasingly interconnected challenges clients are navigating around infrastructure, natural resources, climate resilience and sustainable economic growth.

“Some of the most consequential projects being undertaken anywhere in the world today sit at the intersection of infrastructure, the environment and economic development,” says Derek Amidon, CEO of GISI Consulting Group. “Our clients need deep technical expertise, but they also need partners who understand the broader forces shaping their investments and communities. Joining Environment Analyst gives us another way to contribute to that conversation, engage with our peers, and bring the latest insights to our clients.”

Across the Group, 10,000 professionals bring together expertise in engineering consulting and program management across infrastructure, water, energy, and sustainable economic growth.

GEI Consultants is a key part of the Group’s environmental capability. With more than 1,500 professionals across North America, GEI provides multidisciplinary engineering and environmental services spanning water resources, ecological services, environmental remediation, geotechnical engineering, energy and other complex natural and built-environment challenges.

Palladium brings another dimension to the Group’s work, combining strategy, program management and impact investment expertise to address economic, social and environmental challenges around the world. Its work includes Partnerships for Forests, which mobilizes investment in business models that protect and regenerate tropical forests across Africa, Latin America and Southeast Asia.

Increasingly, those capabilities intersect. From resilient infrastructure and water security to critical minerals, energy transition, biodiversity and sustainable economic development, clients are confronting challenges that cannot be addressed through a single discipline or geography.

That intersection is central to GISI Consulting Group’s model: maintaining the local expertise, relationships and technical depth of its individual operating companies while connecting them through a global platform.

“The real opportunity is in connecting our environmental expertise with our work in infrastructure, project delivery, and high-end design,” Amidon says. “That breadth gives us a unique perspective on the challenges our clients face and on what it takes to build for the long term.”

As members of Environment Analyst’s Leadership Network, GISI Consulting Group will participate in a community that brings environmental and sustainability consulting leaders together to share intelligence, examine market developments and collaborate on the future of the sector.

For GISI Consulting Group, it is also an opportunity to contribute the experience of its operating companies to that wider conversation, and continue building the connections needed to solve increasingly complex global challenges.
