Biography

Ken Lee has over 30 years of experience in the design and management of railway-related civil and structural works. With leadership in planning, design, management, and implementation of railway projects across Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and beyond, Ken brings deep expertise in delivering complex infrastructure projects in collaboration with world-renowned engineering consultants, contractors and railway authorities across Asia.

Before joining AIS, Ken served as Head of Design for the Capital Works Business Unit at MTR Corporation in Hong Kong. In this role, he led the Capital Works Technical Department, providing professional advice on a range of technical matters, ensuring statutory compliance, and managing design teams across the unit. He played a critical role in supporting project delivery teams throughout both the preliminary and detailed design stages of several new railway developments in the city.

Throughout his career, Ken has specialized in civil and structural engineering, with a focus on the design, construction, and project management of major infrastructure works from planning stage to construction stage. These include underground and elevated stations, tunnels, cut-and-cover tunnels, viaducts, stabling sidings, and depots. He also brings extensive experience in stakeholder coordination, working closely with government agencies, contractors, and statutory bodies to resolve design and construction challenges efficiently.
