Joseph Leung

Biography

Joseph Leung is a distinguished Electrical and Mechanical Consulting Engineer, well respected for designs that demonstrate a sustainable, green, and low-carbon approach. He joined J. Roger Preston (JRP) in 1981 and became a partner in the practice in December 1992. His professional career spans over 40 years of JRP’s history.

Joseph’s landmark projects include the Hong Kong Bank Headquarters in the Hong Kong CBD, the iconic IFC2, the first super high-rise building in Hong Kong standing 420 meters tall at the waterfront, the HKSAR Tamar Headquarters, HSBC Data Centre in Shatin, and the China Unicom Data Centre in the Tseung Kwan O Technology Park. He has continued to drive design leadership in high-rise buildings, data centers, healthcare facilities, and more. His vision and business leadership have been pivotal in elevating the JRP Group to the forefront of world-class building design.

Joseph holds a degree in Engineering and an MBA from the University of Hong Kong. He is a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE), the Chartered Institution of IET and CIBSE (UK), and the Institution of Engineers Australia. He has served the HKIE as Electrical Division Chairman, Council Member, and Executive Committee Member. Over the past two decades, Joseph has also devoted his personal time to public service. In recognition of his contributions, he was appointed by the HKSAR Government in 2013 as a lifelong Justice of the Peace (JP).
