Ir. Alex Kwan is CEO Asia of GISI. Prior to joining the GISI group, Alex was Executive Director (Engineering & Technology) at the Airport Authority, where he led innovation and technology initiatives (e.g. modular integrated construction, digital twin, robotic process automation) to advance Hong Kong International Airport’s smart airport vision. Before that, he was Chief Executive of AECOM Greater China, overseeing strategic growth and operations in Hong Kong, mainland China, and Taiwan, managing over 7,000 staff.
Alex is a member of the Advisory Committee on the Environment, Energy Advisory Committee, Advisory Committee for Hong Kong Centre for Logistics Robotics, and Steering Committee of Hong Kong Construction Innovation and Technology Fund. He was the Chairman of Association of Consulting Engineers in Hong Kong, the Institute of Water and Environment Management (Hong Kong Branch), and the Hong Kong University Engineering Alumni Association.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Hong Kong and a Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering (with Distinction) from the Imperial College, London. He is a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers.
