GISI Consulting Group has appointed Brendan M. O’Rourke as Chief Legal Officer (CLO), further strengthening the company’s executive leadership team as it continues to expand its global platform.
In this role, Brendan M. O’Rourke will serve as the senior legal executive for GISI Consulting Group, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and leading the organization’s global legal function. He will oversee legal strategy, governance, compliance, enterprise risk management support, strategic transactions, cybersecurity and data privacy matters, litigation, commercial contracting, and legal operations across the business’s worldwide footprint.
O’Rourke brings almost three decades of legal, risk, and business leadership experience. Most recently, he served as a senior executive for a large, publicly traded engineering and consulting firm, where he was a member of the executive leadership team and advised the CEO and Board of Directors on legal, risk, governance, and compliance. He has led enterprise risk management activities across global organizations operating in 125 countries where he led global legal teams, oversaw international outside counsel relationships, and helped implement scalable risk-management and compliance frameworks that support business growth.
Throughout his career, O’Rourke has developed extensive expertise in professional liability, insurance and surety law, cybersecurity, data protection, intellectual property, employment risk, litigation strategy, and complex commercial transactions.

As Chief Legal Officer, O’Rourke will work closely with GISI Consulting Group’s executive leadership team, operating companies, and parent company leadership to strengthen governance, support strategic growth initiatives, and help the organization navigate a rapidly evolving global business and regulatory environment.

O’Rourke earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Business Law from Florida State University College of Law, a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Worcester State College.
